Amazon has always been known for their quality customer service and response times. They already have a very clear and fair return policy for both buyers and sellers, but recently decided to up the ante.
Previously, if you bought something and needed a replacement for whatever reason, you used to have to place a new order to get the replacement. Amazon is taking it a step further by creating the replacement order automatically, at no charge to the customer, granted they correctly return the original item.
This might seem like unimportant news to some, but to others it shows Amazon is listening to their customers. Although Amazon has always offered replacements for every product sold at their site, they are making sure to keep Prime customers happy by providing a more streamlined service. Anytime a Prime member buys something and is unhappy, Amazon will take care of the rest.
To request a replacement for a purchase made, a user can simply call Amazon Customer Service or submit a return through the Online Returns Center.
For those of you who are sell on Amazon, your inventory will used for the replacement order, and you will also be reimbursed using the standard customer return policy. Nothing has changed except the speed and efficiency in which Amazon gets a replacement to your customers!
Happy Selling or Shopping!
