AwesomeDynamic.com has helped many moderately successful Amazon businesses become big players on Amazon. If you’d like to learn more basics on how to sell on Amazon, visit the Amazon Seller Consulting Center.
What is Amazon Seller Central?
Amazon Seller Central allows you to set up shop on Amazon and manage your business. Amazon thinks of you as a 3rd party seller. You can either pay little by little or take the pro merchant option if you sell big time volume.
Another difference is the FBA option which stands for Fullfillment by Amazon. With FBA, you send in your products for Amazon to manage all of the customer service, shipping, packaging, handling, and return orders. It’s the sit back and relax option – after you pay for it of course.
What is Amazon Vendor Central?
When you’re selling buku bucks, consider Amazon Vendor Central. Although you generally have less control over inventory and pricing, you get more exposure and trust from Amazon buyers. And that leads to even bigger buku bucks! AKA you get the cool “Ships and sold by Amazon.com” next to your product.
You are essentially the manufacturer/distributor/supplier that takes a hit on margin per product but makes it up in volume. You are responsible however for getting your products to multiple Amazon warehouse locations in the U.S. with the possibility of paying a fee for product that does not sell quickly.
