00:00 Importance of Effective Product Details- You need to Sell your product, provide the customer experience for them. They need to know how your product is going to look and feel through excellent photos, from many angles. Compel people to purchase your product, fun details, watch your language in the descriptions, make it exciting.
00:05 Guidelines to Product Title & Details- title can’t be too long, 50-52 characters in length. Capitalize the first letter of each word, except conjunctions or prepositions with only a few letters. Write out numbers and symbols, do not use actual symbols. Don’t include pricing or promotional messages such as “sale” or “free ship”. Use commas instead of dashes. 60-70% of Amazon users are mobile users, keep that in mind when creating a title, keep title short to fit on a mobile screen.
00:16 Bullet Point Guidelines- Include all five featured bullet points for your Amazon product. Use precise description, sentence fragments, size of product, warranty or accessories as the last bulleted item. Use semicolons to separate phrases within a single bullet point. Do not include a period at the end of each bullet point. Use between 50-100 characters for each bulleted item, and keep consistency in your formatting.
00:20 Description Guidelines- 2000 characters length maximum, use great detailed descriptive text. Write out a concise, honest and friendly overview, but do not mention your competitors at all, in any part of your Amazon listing. Search term guidelines or keywords are very useful. Do not use any terms that would be misleading to potential customers.

00:33 Create Useful Product Titles- Descriptive, Concise & Precise product titles. Brand names should not be included in your Amazon product title if they do not describe or sell the product. Long titles are not relatable, and can turn off many customers. Adding keywords to titles does not help with search results, that is not how Amazon’s algorithm ranks listings.
00:39 Writing Powerful Amazon Bullet Points- You are limited to 5 bullet points, only 3 bullets will show up on a mobile phone, before clicking through to the actual listing. Avoid cliche lines that everyone uses, such as “excellent product quality”. You are looking to sell this product, not just describe the details. The first bullet point should have what the product includes. Reserve last bullet point for any warranty information, unless your warranty is a great selling point. You can 500 characters, but less is more. Your potential customer does want to try to read through a large block of text. Generally between 30 to 70 characters works best. Text should be “easy to scan” and create action for the customer to purchase your product.
00:50 Crafting Impressive Product Descriptions- You are not allowed to use html, however you can use line breaks to create smaller paragraphs of content. Create additional bullet points, and avoid using all caps. Include information that will answer common questions about your product- who, what, when, where and why. A well written product description is the only way to help the customer experience what your product is, how it feels, how it works. Tell a story about a happy customer, and describe how your product helped them.
